A mix between cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg, allspice is strong, sweet and fragrant. Great in desserts and preserves as well as gravies and marinades. Commonly used with fruits as well as meats. Used widely in Jamaican jerk and Caribbean dishes, the flavor also enhances holiday pastries and Mulling Spice.
