OVERVIEW:
The olive leaf is harvested from the olive tree, the same evergreen shrub from which olive oil is obtained and it is a relative of lilacs and jasmine. The leaves are herbaceous yet lightly balsamic in flavor and used as an extract, an herbal tea, and a powder. Olive leaves have been brewed for their medicinal properties for thousands of years. The herb is known to contain numerous antioxidant compounds and a few of its benefits include cardiovascular and immune system support, an increase in energy and promoting healthy blood pressure.
