Myrrh is the dried sap of the Commiphora Myrrha tree, native to Yemen, Somalia and Ethiopia. It is used extensively in aromatherapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Ayervedic medicine. With its smoky, earthy scent, it is burned as incense but needs an outside heat source, such as incense charcoal, to burn.
