Mung Bean is a fast-growing plant in the legume family and is the most widely consumed sprout on our planet. This super bean sprout is so fresh with a crunchy-sweet flavor. Mung bean sprouts are a famous juicy, crispy Asian specialty, especially good in stir-fry recipes and salads. Mung bean sprouts are high in important vitamins, minerals, protein, fiber and are a good source of antioxidants.
Mung beans sprouting seeds should be soaked for 4 to 8 hours and will sprout in 2 to 5 days. They need to be thoroughly rinsed with cool, clean water 2 to 4 times per day and then drain as much water as possible. Refrigerate your sprouts after their final rinse.
