OVERVIEW:

Give yourself a pick-me-up with an invigorating cup of Moroccan Sweet Mint Tea, a delightful and exotic blend of a hearty Gunpowder green tea, a blend of mints, and a hint of lemon and fruit. This in-house tea blend is made with fresh mint and herbs to lift your spirits as soon as you take your first sip. This tea can be enjoyed hot or cold any time of day.

Morocco is one of the top importers of tea worldwide and Green tea steeped with lots of spearmint has become symbolic not only of their cuisine but also of Moroccan hospitality and culture. Typically  Moroccan Mint Tea is served ceremonially with an engraved Moroccan teapot (berrad), tea glasses, and serving tray. The tea is poured from this teapot held high in the air into the tea glasses. Tradition once required drinking three glasses.

The first glass is as bitter as life,

The second is as strong as love,

The third is as soothing as death.

  • Loose tea has a stronger and fresher flavor and uses whole (or very large pieces of leaves) which in turn allows all the essential oils of the tea leaf to be expressed in the water. Loose tea can be re-steeped several times without losing their favor.
