OVERVIEW:

Jalapeño peppers are known for their fresh, bright flavor and pleasant medium-heat kick and are widely considered to be the most recognized chile in the US. Slightly less intense than cayenne powder, the gentler pungency of this earthy-grassy flavored pepper has a clean, sharp heat that compliments other flavors and dissipates quickly. Wake up the palate with Jalapeno Chile Powder in dishes like chili, cornbread, salsa, sauces, spice blends, stews, taco meat or sprinkled over chicken, eggs and pork chops. Commonly used as an alternative to black pepper.

Members of the nightshade family, chili peppers have a lot going for them. Capsaicin is the main bioactive plant compound in chile peppers and the more capsaicin it contains the hotter the chile pepper. Chile peppers have a long list of health benefits and will always provide you an abundance of vitamins and minerals. They are rich in antioxidant and anti-inflammatory plant compounds.
