A staple in many favorite Mexican dishes, the Ancho pepper is mild and has a sweet heat with rich smoky flavors and raisin undertones. They are considered the sweetest of all the dried chiles and perfect for layering with other flavors like cumin, cinnamon, and cilantro. Not only is Ancho peppers used in mole, enchiladas, tamales, stir-fry, soups, salsas, stews, and sauces, it can be a secret weapon in any chocolate dessert.

 

Members of the nightshade family, chili peppers have a lot going for them. Capsaicin is the main bioactive plant compound in chile peppers and the more capsaicin it contains the hotter the chile pepper. Chile peppers have a long list of health benefits and will always provide you an abundance of vitamins and minerals. They are rich in antioxidant and anti-inflammatory plant compounds.
